Announcement of 2009 Festival Date and Place!
The Inner Circle of Garlic is excited to announce that this year's Festival will be held on Saturday, September 19th, 2009 at the Wisgirda Farmstead in Meadville, PA. If you were in attendance last year, you would have been treated to a barrage of garlicky goodness consisting of some of the finest entertainment and most creative culinary delights this side of Heaven. If you weren't here last year, you need to experience the friendship and honest vibes that the Pears Garlic Fest can create in YOUR life!
What do we have planned for the 2009 Fest?
Ohhhh...plenty. Just you wait and see! We get a little bit tingly every time we think about it. We'll be updating the website on a pretty regular basis from now until September with Festival information and news and events.
To wet your whistle, we can bring one of these innovations to you right now. In an effort to harness the tremendous goodwill and group spirit that was on display during last year's Fest, we've done our technological homework to create the Pears Garlic Fest Message Board. In case you've never used a message board before, you do a simple registration and your can post messages and respond to messages by other Festivarians on our own little internet space. What can we expect out of the 2009 Pears Garlic Fest?
We had such success with last year's Fest that this year we're fine tuning the experience and introducing a few new novelties. We're asking everyone to donate a relatively meager, nominal fee (there's also Family Ticket too) to cover costs this year. Hey we know times are tough, but before you say "Wait a minute! That's an increase over last year!" you'll be happy to know you're making a wise investment! So what will you experience for the entrance donation?
Succulent garlic influenced foods and beverages. You won't go hungry or thirsty!
Entertainment to beat the band!
Speaking of a band...we'll be announcing the musical line-up in the near future!
As always, games and prizes!
Overnight camping, and maybe Friday night camping too!
